Chen Li-Shin, born and raised in Wanhua, has announced his candidacy for Taipei City Council in the 2026 election. He will run as an independent in the Fifth Electoral District, which covers Zhongzheng and Wanhua.
After growing up in Wanhua, Li-Shin studied and worked in the United States and Japan, built ventures overseas, led an international business, and completed an EMBA at National Chengchi University. He is now bringing that experience home for his first campaign for public office.
“An old neighborhood should not be left with memories alone,” Li-Shin said. He has no party or factional affiliation and has publicly pledged not to accept political donations. Any fundraising request made in his name is fraudulent.
The campaign will focus on six priorities: practical technology for neighborhood renewal, youth employment and entrepreneurship, international connections, transparent government, safer and more livable streets, and a cultural economy that benefits local businesses. Each proposal will continue to evolve with resident input.
